About IMB Alumni

IMB Alumni association is an organization formed by members who finished their studies at International Full Time Master Programme in Business Administration (IMB) at the School of Economics, University of Ljubljana.

The Alumni IMB Association connects more than 1,000 successful graduates and master’s degree holders of the International Master’s Program in Business and Organization (IMB) at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana. In 1993, the need for high-quality leaders with modern and globally recognized expertise in the Slovenian business world led Prof. Dr. Janez Prašnikar and his colleagues to create an MBA program for future outstanding leaders.

Today, the IMB program is considered one of the leading programs in this part of Europe—in 2023, it was ranked 70th on the list of the world’s top 100 master’s programs by the British business newspaper, the Financial Times. Together with the association’s partners, our members have formed a successful business network for 30 years, representing a vital part of the business world in Slovenia and the region, shaping the pulse of this economic space, and decisively influencing public opinion.

The purpose of the Alumni Association is to encourage and strengthen strong connections, both among older generations and between the current generation of students and future employers. Through its activities, we offer opportunities for continuous lifelong learning and involvement in various initiatives (scholarship fund, mentoring program, social and professional events, etc.).

Both IMB Alumni Association and Foundation are run by fellow alumni who work together to maintain the connection between graduates and the university, bring various events to life, and support current generation.

our purpose

Mission

The mission of IMB Alumni association is to foster and facilitate both ties among alumni and ties of alumni with companies and individuals that support the program. Additionally, Alumni is providing opportunities for continuous lifelong learning to its members.

The Alumni MBA Radovljica was initiated by the first generation of students with the aim to instigate and enables keeping in touch with study colleagues and cross-generational contacts. The Alumni association was established in 1996 and since then it regularly organises events, where members socialise, issues publications, organise professional lectures and offers networking possibilities. During the last 22 years of the study programme existence, it turned into one of best and most prestigious master programmes in the local and broader business environment.

Our graduates enjoy a good international reputation of being well-skilled, knowledgeable, and hard-working and ambitious in the eyes of employers. Many students, who finished the programme, have reached top managerial positions in influential companies. Being an IMB student is an honour with an obligation to work hard, play fairly and defend the good reputation of the programme. Being a part of our success story is a privilege and pleasure.
